Khonsa, November 26: The Tirap District Administration, led by Deputy Commissioner Liyi Bagra, observed Constitution Day at the DC’s Office in Khonsa, reaffirming the fundamental values of democracy, equality, freedom, and brotherhood. The Deputy Commissioner administered the oath of the Preamble of the Constitution of India to all government officers and staff present.
The ceremony was attended by the ADC Khonsa, SDO Khonsa, and several other officials. Similar programmes were held across various government institutions, including the DDSE’s office and the General Hospital, Khonsa, where DDSE K. K. Lowangcha and the Medical Superintendent of GHK administered the pledge.
During the event, the Preamble of the Constitution was read aloud, reiterating a collective commitment to uphold the nation’s core principles of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.
