PASIGHAT, Nov.27: Gearing up for the ensuing Pasighat Municipal Elections 2025 for election of Councillors to the Pasighat Municipal Council (PMC) , the first round of training for Presiding Officers and Polling Officers was organised here at DC’s Conference Hall and IGJ Auditorium simultaneously , wherein they were sensitized and briefed on their roles and responsibilities by Master Trainers .
Municipal Returning Officer (MRO) , Pasighat Municipal Council,Tatling Pertin, in his address urged them to be thoroughly acquaint with the operational procedures for the polling day at their respective polling stations , roles and responsibilities assigned for conducting smooth, free and fair and transparent Municipal election process. Terming them as part of the key election machinery in a democratic process as requisitioned of our services by the State Election Commission (SEC) of Arunachal Pradesh under the relevant provisions of Arunachal Pradesh Municipal Election Act, 2009 ,our designated roles in all capacities falls under the purview of SEC which we must discharge with utmost diligence and sincerety,the MRO
The training session was organised under the supervision of Assistant Municipal Returning Officer (AMRO) , Yamo Tamut
The training was imparted by EVM Master Trainers , Dr. Alakesh Phukan ( Asst ,professor), Kasep Tayom(ADES) and Er. Bapu Tabing ,(AE RWD). The partcipants also received practical session on EVM procedures..
