Saaya and Tagi lauded artists' role in molding the society

  

ITANAGAR, APRIL 14: Former legislature Likha Saaya and Leopriang ZPM Nabam Tagi have lauded the role of artists in molding the society.

Saaya was addressing a huge gathering on the occasion of the 2nd elimination round of Second season of Mengio Idol here near Sango Resort campus today.

Saaya said sky's the limit and one should dream to reach upto sky and accordingly plan with a commitment and determination and try with sincerity and devotion. He said.

Artists have a greater role to play in moulding the society which expresses a great message for the society for reason with happiness and sorry. He said.

Whoever the artist is, they should try to become a professional and give a remarkable impression in society and bring laurel for society, state and country through his/her voice act and performances. Saaya added.

He assured all his support for the success and hope that our youths also excel at regional and national and even to international level.

 

Guest of honour Nabam Tagi in his address said that it is a happy movement that such a platform has been created to give opportunity for the artist of remote circle Mengio.

" I hope some of the artists from remote villages and circles reached to the highest level like Lata Mangeskar, Michel Jackson and others" Tagi said adding that the artist should perform well with dedication and commitment so that our state name is also reached to a great height.

Former Minister Tatar Kipa, KVIB Vice Chairman Dug Saha, Mangio EAC Tana Bapu Tara, Mengio Idol Chief Patron Gyamar Tana among others also addressed the gathering.

All total 28 candidates appeared at Mega audition round and 16 artists were selected on April 4. 15 artists took part in the 1st elimination round and 10 reached the 2nd elimination round.

On April 14 the 2nd elimination round witnessed the best of the best performance of 10 artists of which 5 has been selected who will participate and perform in the final round grand finale on April 18 at some venue.

The five artists are Techi Kui, Ringu Tajik, Chukhu Yazir, Nabam Etung, Nabam Sanu who will take part and perform the show which will be witnessed by a host of dignitaries.
